Camp has ended!

It's been about 3 days since our last student Yuki Tsuda left.
Now that everyone's gone it's gotten really quiet.
It's been an amazing 2 months and I believe it's been a great experience for all.
I will update a few photos from the ivy tour and pictures from couple days before ivy tour.
Regularly check the blog for more update on next year's camp and much more.

Ivy Tour Update

Students have a lot of places to visit so they are being kept busy but they are really enjoying there trip to USA. Tomorrow they return from the trip. Let's see what they have been upto.

These are photos from Washington D.C.

In front of the reflecting pond, with the obelisk in the back ground.
Through those beams, Lincoln Statue is located. Should they really be jumping so close to those stairs? Now you can see the Lincoln statue.

Global Leader Project 2

Sunday, August 9th

Students, once again, participated in the Global leader Project. They had to imagine themselves as new leaders of new countries. They had to build the country from scratch by coming up with the name, flag, map, tourism brochure and much more. The kids got to learn about other cultures as they based their ideas on existing countries. It was great!

Wonderland 2

Saturday, August 8th

With the exception of Rafael and Pedro this was everyone's first time being at Canada's Wonderland. For some it was their first time riding roller coasters as well. The day was full of fun and excitement since there are so many rides and games to choose from.

Niagara Falls 2

Wednesday, August 5th

The students got to see and experience first hand the world's most powerful waterfall.
The weather was beautiful. We went to the botanical garden as well.

Mini Golf 2

Tuesday, August 4th

We revisited Cardinal Golf Club for another round of mini putt.
A thunderstorm hit the area for about 10 minutes but after the rain the sky cleared up and allowed us to play.

Sports Day

Sunday, August 2nd

Today the students had to play different sports outside. We had games like tree-legged race, obstacle race, tug-o-war, football, ultimate frisbee, and water fight.
It was great.

City Tour 2

We went back to downtown Toronto with the newly arrived students. Because of technical difficulties there are no pictures but it was an amazing day.

Swimming and Movie

July 29th

Originally we planned on going to Wild Water Kingdom. However the sky was grey from last night and there was chance of showers throughout the day. Worried about the health of the students we had to substitute it with an indoor pool. Richmond Hill wave pool is operated by the city but interestingly every fifteen minutes the calm water would become wavy. Although it was smaller than WWK the students still had a ton of fun. They went on the slides over and over again, they rode the waves with floating devices, they played volleyball, marco polo, and more. After swimming the students went to a movie theatre and watched Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. Some liked the movie, some didn't but everyone felt it was a great experience.
